Summary and Suggestion

Purpose of Practicum

The purpose of my practicum at CLSU University Senior High School, Philippines is to gain some experiences in learning teaching at school. The purpose of this practicum also to make me know about the differences between Indonesia school management and Philippines school management. But, not only in school or academic things, but also the purpose of this practicum is to give me a knowledge about the Philippines culture. I learnt a lot about both academic and cultural things here as long as I have my practicum.

Procedures of Practicum

The procedures of my practicum are for the first week, I will have observation on my Cooperating Teacher class, then on second week, I develop my lesson plan, materials, and first teaching demo. Moreover, on the next week, I have my final teaching demo.

Outcomes of Practicum

The outcomes of this practicum is this blog report. The blog report here include with my observation, teaching plan, teaching practice, and the excursion from the host university.

The Challenges of Practicum

The challenges that I have of this practicum are the phone signal that were not be able to reach the classroom. But that is no a big deal for me because I can be able to manage the class from the beginning until the end of my practicum.

Overall Impression

My impression to have my practicum in CLSU is amazing. I got warmest welcome from the university and also from the school. I am glad to have my practicum here in CLSU. I got a lot of experiences both in academic and culture in CLSU. Also I am happy to meet my friends from another country (Thailand, and Japan) as long as I have my practicum here in CLSU. I was not expected that between Indonesia and Philippines have a lot similar words, that was my impression here, because I can get to know similar word between two languages and do not forget about the environment at CLSU which make me comfortable to stay there. Thank you so much for the experiences especially from International Affairs office of CLSU staffs who provided us the accommodation for cultural trip. Thank you for my buddies there, and also my beloved students in 11 Originators.

Suggestions for Future Improvement

This practicum was so amazing for me, and for all of the agendas that already prepared were good for me, but I hope that in the future, maybe the Host University can give the complete itinerary for each agenda so that we know about the full agenda where will we have at that time or day and may informed for the students teacher of SEA Teacher maximum two days before the schedule. But overall, I am so enjoy to stay there in CLSU. I hope that I can go back there again for another occasion.
